Col. Bruce P. Antonia took command of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division in a ceremony June 19 at Honor Field. Col. Mark Dewhurt relinquished command to Antonia.
Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital and the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity, Fort Polk, undergo a change of command Tuesday.
Six amputee combat veterans put their uniforms back on and returned to Iraq Sunday for the first time since sustaining their injuries in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Second Lt. Wendel S. Walters, assigned to the brigade’s 1st Battalion, 353rd Infantry Regiment, has the distinction of being the first Soldier assigned to the brigade to deploy in 44 years.
Walters is currently assigned to the Mine Action Center at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, where he will work for six months before returning to Fort Polk.

Camp Warrior II takes place July 12-15 at North Toledo Bend State Park, located near Zwolle.
3-D shoot
The Fort Polk Shooting Complex hosts a 3-D shoot July 12. Test your skill with a quarter-mile walking course and a variety of realistic 3-D targets. The event runs from 10 a.m.-noon. Cost is $10.
