Fort Polk, La. —

Members of the military know there is a sensitive side to their profession of arms: dads have a soft spot for their daughters.

Fathers of all ranks and their daughters are invited to attend the Fort Polk Officers’ Spouses’ Club Father/Daughter Dance at the Warrior Community Center March 20 from 6-8:30 p.m. There will be plenty of food, music for dancing and carriage rides. Raffle prizes are also up for grabs.
It is said that many successful, self-confident women are the product of loving and nurturing relationships with their fathers. By providing a safe, loving environment like the father/daughter dance, the OSC aims to help dads set a good dating standard for their daughters, build a bridge of communication and respect between generations, and help girls experience the affection, respect and attention many of their hearts crave.

Ticket prices are $30 for one father and daughter and $5 for each additional daughter. Carriage rides are an additional $5. Each $30 ticket includes a framed picture, food, entertainment, music and raffle entry.

Dress is uniform or suit for dads and nice dresses for girls.
Every little girl deserves to feel like a princess while attending a dance with the most important man in her life. For tickets or more information call 653-6352/404-3414 or e-mail abyates@cebridge.net.
