Fort Polk, La. —

Wonderful memories of childhood can be created at overnight summer camps.

That’s why Fort Polk’s Child, Youth and School Services offers summer camps exclusively for Fort Polk youth.

Camp Warrior II takes place July 12-15 at North Toledo Bend State Park, located near Zwolle.

Campers will canoe, swim, take nature hikes and enjoy the great outdoors.

Games, music, crafts and movies are part of the fun, plus plenty of time for fun in the sun and making new friends.

Cabins feature bunk-style beds, climate control and showers.

The camp is open to youth in grades six-12.

You must have finished sixth grade during the 2008-2009 school year and be registered with Child, Youth and School Services.

The camp is free for youth of deployed Soldiers and $135 for those of non-deployed Soldiers and other CYSS members. Registration runs through July 3.

Call central registration at 531-1955 or Siegfried Youth Center at 531-1991 or 531-1992 for more information.
