How long has it been since you’ve visited a good, old-fashioned flea market? Do you long for rows of tables piled high with second-hand wares? Does the idea of finding that special antique whatzit fuel your shopping passion?

The Alexandria MacArthur Drive Lions Club hosts “Trade Days on Cotile” March 27-28 at Cotile Lake Recreation Park. This family-friendly event allows visitors to browse or shop for art, antiques, airbrush work, clothes, tools, jewelry and more.

Kids can have a blast at the inflatables and climbing wall.
Hungry patrons can fill their bellies with meat pies, hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and plenty of other food.

A free diabetes screening will be offered by the Cotile Volunteer Fire Department –– remember not to eat two hours prior to screening.

Walk-in admission is 50 cents per person and children 6 and younger get in free. Inside parking is $2 per vehicle plus 50 cents per occupant other than the driver. Parking is also provided outside the park at no charge and a shuttle service will take attendees to the gate.

No alcohol, off-road vehicles, coolers or pets allowed on the premises.
Booth spaces are available for food, flea market or antique wares. Booths are 10-by-12-feet and cost $40 for the weekend. Electricity is an additional $5-$10.
