So you are leaving the military and entering the civilian world with the same dream everyone has … to be successful. Some of you may decide to continue to do the same type of work you did in the military. Others may choose to use skills developed in the military. Some of you may decide to complete your education to pursue a dream job. You may even discover that you do not want to work for someone else but rather do it your own way.
Everyone has a hidden talent or natural skill. Why not turn that skill into a business?
Fort Polk’s Army Career and Alumni Center hosts the Louisiana Small Business Development Center March 22 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. for a seminar on starting a small business. If the response is good, the development center will offer additional seminars, tailoring them to specific areas of interest. Call the ACAP Center at 531-1591 to register for this seminar. Remember, spouses are invited as well (they will be your biggest supporter in your new venture).
