Do you think that drinking and driving is no big deal? Do you think that you can’t get into an accident after one drink? Do you ever consider yourself at risk for being struck by a drunken driver?
The National Save A Life Tour is a high-impact alcohol awareness program providing state-of-the-art, interactive driving that simulates driving under the influence of alcohol. The Save A Life Tour creates the most realistic, immersive drinking and driving simulation program today.
This experience is significant in that the drivers are sober and forced to realize the influence of alcohol on their driving skills. This event is scheduled July 20-24 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Warrior Community Center.
The simulation brings home the shocking reality of the life-changing and often deadly consequences of drinking and driving because adults and peers saying, “Don’t drink and drive!” has lost its impact on people of today.
Soldiers, Family members and civilian employees are invited to particpate.
Throughout the week, participants will be exposed to a non-traditional “shock jock” approach to alcohol awareness and anti-drinking and driving, immersive multi-screen, state-of-the-art drinking and driving simulation.
The simulator includes driving “worlds” with a wide variety of vehicles.
It includes a 50 square mile virtual landscape with more than 87 miles of roadway, from city to rural driving on highway and gravel lanes.
Although driving should always be done on the roadways, the system permits off-road driving at any time, anywhere, because the driver has full control over every turn.
Not only will you feel the air conditioning and hear your “car” running, but you will also feel the bumps in the road and the pull of your steering wheel. You are even confronted with varying weather conditions throughout your path, including fog, rain, snow and ice.
